A graduate magna cum laude and dignity of the press, both in law and in economics and commerce from the University of Genoa, he has been a member of the Bar since 1992 and qualified to practice in the Supreme Court. After a long period at Pavia Ansaldo, he founded the Italian office of Ashurst in 2000, of which he was the managing partner, before joining Latham & Watkins in 2009, responsible for the Italian banking and finance group.

In 2014 he joined the initiative of Bruno Gattai and Luca Minoli, founding Studio Legale Gattai, Minoli, Agostinelli & Partners. Since July 2021, he has been a name partner at Molinari Agostinelli. He focuses mainly on banking (acquisition, corporate, real estate, sports, and infrastructure finance) and insolvency (restructuring and distressed lending). His clients include major banks (Italian and international), investment funds, and corporations.

He is recognized as one of the most accredited experts in the Italian banking and insolvency market by leading national and international publications specializing in the legal field. He is the founder and president of Yuki, a nonprofit association that aims to overcome social barriers through sports, organizing welfare, educational, recreational, and cultural activities, mainly in favor of disadvantaged people or those in difficulty. Married and father of three children, he is a connoisseur and collector of contemporary art from the 1960s to the present. He is also passionate about diving and skiing.
