Massimo Antonini is passionate about photography, travel, sailing, and tennis.

He graduated in law from the University of Milan and is a member of the Milan Bar Association.

In 2000 he obtained an LL.M in International tax law in Leiden (Netherlands), with a final thesis on international aspects of inheritance and gift tax.

After collaborating with Prof. Avv. Franco Gallo, where he mainly dealt with tax litigation, in 2004, he began his collaboration with Chiomenti, and in 2008 he became a partner. From 2012 to May 2018, he was in charge of the tax department and became a managing partner from May 2018. At Chiomenti, he deals with private clients and private equity and continues to work on tax litigation, focusing on international issues.

Massimo is a member of the executive committee of Ifa (International Fiscal Association - Italian branch). From 2015 to 2018, he was an advisor to the Chamber of Deputies Finance Committee. In 2018 he was re-elected, for the second consecutive term, as a member of the Board of Directors of Step (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Italy. He is recognized in Band 1 by leading international legal guides such as Chambers and Legal 500.

He has authored numerous publications and is a frequent speaker at international and national conferences.
