Lombardo doc, before graduating and finishing his military service in the Carabinieri Corps, began his professional activity by taking the exam in Consob for the register of financial advisors (now Ocf). He holds a degree in economics and commerce from the Catholic University of Milan and also pursued a specialization in tax litigation at the State University of Milan.

After graduation, he joined Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati, where he became an equity partner and now leads a team of about 15 professionals. He has been a Step partner since 2017. At Pirola, he immediately became involved in issues related to the taxation of expatriates and stock option plans with the newtork Coopers & Lybrand (later PwC), becoming one of the experts in the field, specializing in the area of cross-border wealth management, following tax, tax and legal issues of multinational companies, managers and international families, and in banking, insurance, and finance (where he holds positions on the boards of statutory auditors of listed companies, sims and sgr and significant international industrial groups).

He advises on domestic and international taxation, protection, preservation, and transmission of family assets, generational business transition, trusts, co-investment plans and stock options, M&A, and private equity, providing his expertise in liquidity event management and investment plans aimed at management (carried interest).

He has been a lecturer at international training courses of the PwC network and currently teaches at the Lombardy School of Higher Education and in the Aidc Master's program "The wealth planning specialist." He also speaks at the International Law and Taxation conference in Gardone Riviera and in seminars organized by Paradigma and other organizations.

He is fluent in English and Spanish and studied German and French. He devotes his spare time to his three children and is passionate about mountains and ski mountaineering, which he practices in his beloved Valtellina and Aosta Valley.
