Francesca Secondari graduated from Perugia Law School in 2002. She joined BonelliErede in 2003, became a local partner in 2016, and partner in 2019.


he focuses on corporate and M&A in Cairo, coordinating M&A transactions, investments in the African region, and corporate reorganizations. She regularly assists clients on an ongoing basis with corporate and commercial law matters of strategic importance. Over the years, still within the corporate and finance department, she has focused on advising companies active in the luxury sector and participates in numerous extraordinary transactions.

The firm chooses her to advise a leading luxury brand (nine billion euros in annual sales) on an exclusive basis for a two-year period, during which she replaces the general counsel (temporarily called to cover a more prominent role) for some functions. In that context and the following years, during which he remained a point of reference for clients in the luxury sector, he acquired an in-depth knowledge of all legal issues related to the value chain. He matured solid experience in cross-border transactions in geographically diverse areas (including several Middle Eastern and African countries).

Under the experience thus gained, Francesca Secondari moved to Cairo to take care of the office startup as a member of BonelliErede's Africa team. Currently, she is in charge of the office's corporate activities and is responsible for assisting an international client base in implementing investments in Egypt and Africa. He coordinates the involvement of BonelliErede's various specialist teams according to the needs of each client and regularly participates in conferences and writes articles. Lately, he has been involved in developing legal issues related to sustainability and ESG by leveraging his long experience in the luxury sector (a pioneer in implementing sustainability criteria) and his privileged observatory towards the African market. He is an active member of the high-end/luxury and corporate governance focus teams.
