Ceo of Vino & Finanza

"Wine is made to be drunk and not smelled" (Henri Jayer - Burgundy's most significant producer of the 20th century)

Born in Paris in 1955 into a French-Italian bi-cultural diplomatic family and raised in Geneva, he graduated from Ecole supérieure de commerce de Paris and Université de sciences economiques Paris X.

After military service performed at the Ecole Militaire de Paris, he began a career in banking in 1980, working in the Pargesa-Bruxelles Lambert Group, before coming to Milan in 1989 to open the Crédit Agricole business bank branch.

Subsequently managing director of Marceau Investissements Italia and then of Arjil Italia, a subsidiary of Banque Arjil, he set up his structure, Vino & Finanza, in 1998, which has since then operated 360° in the world of wine, making his passion his profession.

At that time, he is a forerunner in wine investment, both in bottles and vineyards, creating special financial vehicles.

Today, as an internationally recognized wine expert, he intervenes in consultations to set up wineries of the finest wines and to buy or sell wineries; he also organizes exclusive tasting events featuring the world's best wines or scarce bottles from the 19th century.

Formerly a permanent member of the prestigious international tasting body, le Grand Jury Européen, he became an Onav "Master Taster" in 2022.

He lives in Gstaad, Switzerland, with footholds in Milan and Rome. He is a member in Europe of the "Club des leaders."

Married with a daughter, he cultivates several passions besides wine: history, cooking, cosmology and astrophysics, reading, and opera. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, tennis, and swimming.
